'Media Minerals': A spoken-word and sound lecture by Larry Achiampong and David Blandy
The collaborative duo remix sound and lyrics as a means of researching the post colonial, and its relationship to today's globalised media and technologies. The performance draws on the conflict minerals that power the new media devices we use to communicate today most of which derive from the Congo.

About Space in Between:
Space in Between (SIB) is a London-based contemporary art gallery with a focus on commissioning and exhibiting work from important early career artists. Founded in 2009 as a project space, which created a platform for experimentation and emerging talent, SIB now represents a stable of ten artists. Continuing to foster the development of artistic practice, SIB has created an organisational model that sits between that of a commercial gallery and a commissioning space – running a full programme of solo and group shows, as well commissioning large off-site exhibitions, publications, films and performances. The gallery has forged a strong identity in the sector, and a reputation for exhibiting critically engaging artwork; encouraging a discourse and way of working that benefits the development of artists and audiences alike.

About Hi Barbara:
Hi Barbara is an evolving project to explore the potential of collaboration and collective practice in curatorial and visual art production between Helen Nisbet and Kay Watson.
