UNTITLED: Art on the conditions of our time
10 July - Oct 3 2021
Kettle’s Yard Cambridge

A group exhibition of film, installation, photography, drawing, painting and mixed media works by British African diaspora artists. The exhibition includes a range of works that speak to the transformative social and political times in which we live; from shifting racial and gendered identities to migration, queer histories, popular culture and conflict. The exhibition title refers to the longstanding practice in modern and contemporary art whereby artists choose not to title their works in order to keep interpretation open.

The exhibition will feature new commissions by Barby Asante, Appau Junior Boakye-Yiadom, Phoebe Boswell and NT, and existing works by Larry Achiampong & David Blandy, Kimathi Donkor, Evan Ifekoya, Cedar Lewisohn, Harold Offeh and Ima-Abasi Okon. This exhibition is a new iteration of UNTITLED: Art on the conditions of our time, originally shown at New Art Exchange, Nottingham in 2017 and is curated by Paul Goodwin and Hansi Momodu-Gordon in collaboration with Kettle’s Yard and New Art Exchange.
