'Totemic Festival', Freud Museum, London
Friday 5th July, 6.30pm - David Blandy ‘Biter’ - screening and performance (7pm)
David Blandy’s new video work Biter is an Artsadmin Jerwood Commission. A hip-hop fan since the early 90’s, the work examines how much hip-hop has entered the artist’s unconscious mind. Shot on location at The Freud Museum, Biter will ask questions about identity – how much of the artist’s self is hip-hop?
An Artsadmin Jerwood Commission, with support from the Freud Museum.
As part of an evening launching the ‘Totemic Festival’ with artists David Blandy, Sarah Grainger-Jones, Lili Spain and DJ Auntie Maureen.
The Festival takes place at the Freud Museum from 5-7 July 2013.
Launch night tickets:
£15/£10 concessions or Members of the Museum (includes drinks reception in Freud’s garden).
